Hindi na pumayag si Jessa Zaragoza na muling magpa-interview after niyang magsalita sa StarTalk ng GMA-7 at sa The Buzz ng ABS-CBN last weekend concerning the tell-all interview of Rufa Mae Quinto sa February 2008 issue ng YES! magazine. Nasabi niya na rin daw lahat ang gusto niyang sabihin at nakapagbigay na rin siya ng exclusive print interview kay Ricky Lo sa Philippine Star at ang lumabas na rin dito sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Nang ang YES! na ang nag-request ng kanyang personal rejoinder about the issue, she politely asked na kung puwede, ipa-transcribe na lang ang actual and full interview na ibinigay niya sa amin last Saturday after she was interviewed sa StarTalk via phone patch. Pumayag ang YES! at ito na lang ang ilalabas nila.
Saturday morning, February 9, nag-text sa amin si Jessa na nagpadala siya ng isang short email sa amin na kung puwede ito na lang ang magiging closing paragraph niya sa ibibigay na transcription sa YES! magazine.
Pagkakataon na rin namin ito para tanungin si Jessa sa pinakabagong lumabas na haka-haka na kaya raw siya sumagot sa interview ni Rufa Mae ay dahil may offer sa kanya to do a soap. Ang pagkakaalam kasi namin, May pa ang balik niya sa Pilipinas to finish her long-delayed album.
Naitanong din namin ito noon sa phone interview kay Jessa, na baka isipin ng tao na kaya siya nagsasalita ay babalik agad siya sa Pilipinas at sinabi niya nga ang petsa ng kanyang pagdating.
Muli namin tinanong si Jessa tungkol dito via text nang natanggap namin ang kanyang email. Wala kasi kaming alam na may offer sa kanya to do a soap.
"Not true. Kung babalik ako diyan sa May or June, bakasyon lang ng pamilya namin at saka para tapusin ang album," sagot ni Jessa via text message.
Weeks lang ang itatagal niya at wala ring offer sa kanya to do a show.
"Baka nga July pa kasi birthday din ni DA [referring to her husband Dingdong Avanzado]. Green card holder kami. Kailangan maka-four years and nine months kami dito para makakuha ng citizenship, yun ang goal namin. So we need to stay here," paliwanag niya.
One year pa lang ang pamilya nila sa United States last August.
We asked Jessa kung gusto niya itong sagutin in print and she asked bakit pa raw, e, hindi naman totoo. Maghintay raw ang publiko kung babalik nga siya para gumawa ng soap, pero nilinaw niya na hindi naman ito totoo.
Dagdag pa niya, by May, tapos na tapos na ang issue about her and Rufa Mae. So hopefully, hindi na ito maungkat muli sa pagbabalik niya.
