Kahapon, Disyembre 15, ay inilathala ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) ang balitang pag-kuwestiyon umano sa aktor na si John Lloyd Cruz hinggil sa tunay na dahilan ng pagbisita niya sa Japan. Kaninang hapon, Disyembre 16, bilang tugon sa hiling ng PEP na makakuha ng pahayag mula sa panig ng aktor, isang text message ang aming natanggap mula sa Star Magic, ang talent arm ng ABS-CBN na siyang namamahala sa showbiz career ni John Lloyd.
Nakasaad sa text message: "John Lloyd Cruz voluntarily went back to Manila after being questioned by the Japanese Immigration. JLC was assumed to be part of the Martin Nievera and Nikki Gil show. Apparently, he was not. His visa was not revoked and he flew back to Japan. JLC will explain his side upon arrival to Manila. Thanks."
