Two Pinoy drama series and a Filipino actress are among the nominees in the 37^th edition of the International Emmy Awards.

ABS-CBN's Kahit Isang Saglit (A Time For Us) and GMA-7' Magdusa Ka are nominated for Best Telenovela, along with Brazil's India - A Love Story and France's Second Chance.

Kahit Isang Saglit, a Filipino-Malaysia co-production starred Jericho Rosales and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo, while Magdusa Ka featured Katrina Halili and Dennis Trillo.

Meanwhile, Angel Locsin was nominated as Best Actress for her performance in Lobo, her first primetime series in ABS-CBN after she moved from GMA-7. She will be competing against France's Emma de Caunes for Night Birds, Mexico's Cecilia Suarez for Capadocia, and British actress Julie Walters for A Short Stay In Switzerland. Walters is best known as Mrs. Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter movie franchise.

The winners for the 37th International Emmy Awards will be announced on November 23, 2009 at a Black-Tie Ceremony hosted by UK television star Graham Norton at the Hilton New York Hotel.

Nominations span over 17 countries with first ever Emmy nomination for Thailand, in the Children & Young People Category. The United Kingdom leads with 9 nominations, followed by Brazil (5), Germany, Mexico, and the Philippines (3). The competition took place with three rounds of judging over a period of 6 months, with participation from over 600 judges in 50 different countries.

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is a membership-based organization composed of leading media and entertainment figures from over 50 countries and 500 companies from all sectors of television including internet, mobile and technology.

pansin mo si katrina may sariling article about magdusa nomination? bongga siya di ba? why dont they give credit don sa gumawa ng story or screebplay dahil un ang nominated at hindi si katrina h.

hindi ako nagagalit kay katrina .. im just pointing out how this emmy thing has gone in the wrong direction

masyado nila inilalagay si kat sa eksena eh hindi naman siya ang nominated tapos si angel mismo na nominated nilalait.

obvious na obvious naman talaga.. they congratulate katrina halili dahil sa Magdusa Ka na story ang inilalaban sa EMMY pero ung mismong top award na Best Actress nomination for Angel Locsin eh hindi worth and worst still, kung ano anong rason ang sinasabi para bigyang katwiran ang baluktot nilang kaisipan.. NAMAN!

Kami nga nanghinayang kami last year dahil at the end ng mga pinagpipilian hindi nakasama si iza calzado, hanggang semi-finalist lang sya, nalaglag na sya sa finalists. Being a pinoy, amp; not as a mere fam of angel, we want iza to be included sana that time dahil pinoy pride din sya pag nagkataon.
