Nonito Donaire Jr. is back to do Kapuso shows after defending his boxing title



  World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Flyweight champion Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Jr. is very proud of his wife Rachel Marcial-Donaire's achievements. Aside from opening her own purse and bag business, Rachel was included in the recent FHM World's 100 Sexiest Women list, landing in No. 85. "Definitely, I'm really proud of her and I will not stop her. Actually, ako pa nga yung nag-e-encourage sa kanya na, 'why not? Sige, gawin mo 'yan.' Pero siguro I will take the best picture in terms of sexiness ratings," says Nonito about the possibility of a photo shoot again with FHM

Pinangarap talaga ni Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Jr. na maging artista.

 

Ito ang pambubuko ni GMA Vice President for Talent Management and Development Ida Henares tungkol sa current World Boxing Association (WBA) World Super Flyweight Champion. Aminado naman ang 27-year-old boxing champ sa ginawang rebelasyon ng GMA executive sa harap ng sports at entertainment press sa homecoming lunch press conference para kay Donaire kahapon, July 27, sa Executive Lounge sa 17th floor ng GMA Network Center.

 

Pero may iba ngang tinahak na daan ang kapalaran ni Nonito. Mula sa pagiging isa sa pinakamabilis na track runner sa kanilang paaralan sa San Lorenzo, California, kunsaan una siyang binansagang "The Filipino Flash", naging isa sa pinakakinatatakutan at pinakakilalang boksingero sa buong mundo ang tubong-Bohol na boksingero.

 

"Actually, kaya nga mahilig ako and I truly enjoy it [showbiz], kasi parang artist po ako. In terms of mahilig ako sa painting, mahilig ako sa sketching, mahilig ako sa photography. So, mahilig talaga ako sa mga ganun-ganun. And I enjoy the beauty of life, the beauty of this world, the beauty of the Philippines, the beauty of each and every one of us. Nakikita ko yun. Yun talaga ang hilig ko. Kaya nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA na nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon," pahayag ni Nonito.  

 

Matapos ang matagumpay niyang pagtatanggol ng kanyang WBA Super Flyweight belt laban sa Mexican boxer na si Hernan "Tyson" Marquez sa Coliseo Ruben Rodrigues, San Juan, Puerto Rico, noong July 10, balik-Pinas at balik-Kapuso si Nonito. Nakatakda siyang mag-guest sa GMA shows tulad ng Show Me Da Manny, Hole in the Wall, Danz Showdown, Party Pilipinas, at Pepito Manaloto.

 

"Talagang busy na busy ako at nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA Artist Center for giving me this opportunity, kasi ibang challenge po ito, e. Excited na excited po ako to tackle the different challenge in my life, and that is the [show] business," sabi pa ni Nonito.

 

Magpapahinga muna siya sa pagte-training sa loob ng isa't kalahating buwan, bago sumabak uli sa pag-eensayo para sa kanyang laban sa November.

 

Kasalukuyang nakikipagnegosasyon pa ang promoter ni Nonito na si Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions, promoter din ng Pambansang Kamao na si Manny Pacquiao, para makalaban niya ang kasalukuyang WBO (World Boxing Organization) at WBC (World Boxing Council) Bantamweight Champion na si Fernando Montiel. Kapag naplantsa na ito, aakyat ng timbang si Nonito mula sa Super Flyweight (115 lbs.) papuntang Bantamweight (118 lbs.).

 

"May iba ring champion na galing ng Puerto Rico, si Wilfredo Vasquez Jr. [WBO Super Bantamweight Champion]. Kung di matuloy yung laban kay Montiel, aakyat po ako ng isa pang timbang. Sa super bantamweight [122 lbs.]," paniniyak ni Nonito.

 

November din ang nakatakdang laban ni WBO World Welterweight Champion at Saranggani Congressman Manny Pacquiao laban sa Mexicanong si Antonio Margarito para sa bakanteng WBC World Super Welterweight / Light Middleweight Champioship title. Hiling ni Nonito na sana raw ay makalaban siya sa November bilang undercard ni Manny.

 

"I've been requesting na sana makalaban ako sa undercard ni Manny 'cause malaking karangalan sa akin yun. To be part of a big event. Alam naman na lahat ng fight ni Manny is a big event. To be part of that and to show my pride with Manny, yun ang dream ko na sana, it will happen."

 

WIFE ON FHM 100 SEXIEST LIST. Tinanong naman ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Nonito kung payag pa ba siyang gumawa ng isa pang photo shoot para sa malaganap na panlalaking magazine na FHM ang asawa niyang si Rachel. Nakasama kasi sa listahan ng FHM Philippines 100 World's Sexiest Women for 2010 si Rachel. Pero bago sagutin ni Nonito ang tanong, nagbiro muna ito at nagbigay rin ng magagandang salita tungkol sa kanyang seksing asawa.

 

"Actually, nag-protest ako dun, akala ko number one si Rachel, hinihintay ko, e. So... joke lang," biro muna ni Nonito. "I'm really proud of her. Kaya nga yung magazine, nandun sa room ko, at saka nandun sa living room. Kasi proud na proud ako na she accomplished that, you know.

 

"To me, I will always look at her as my goddess, the beauty of my life, the queen of my heart, the very person that keeps me to reach the highest place in this Earth. So, siya po talaga yung nagbibigay sa akin ng lakas in terms of everything. So, lahat-lahat, Rachel is the key to everything that I am," patuloy ni Nonito tungkol kay Rachel.

 

"Actually, I have a request—kasi ako, photographer na ako ngayon, e—so kung gusto n'yo talaga nung sexy na sexy, ako po yung magpi-picture. Kasi hindi n'yo makikita yung bedroom look, e. Pag ako yung nasa harapan, makikita n'yo talaga yung bedroom look, yung sexy look, yung lahat-lahat. Basta ako yung magpi-picture.

 

"Definitely, I'm really proud of her and I will not stop her. Actually, ako pa nga yung nag-e-encourage sa kanya na, 'Why not? Sige, gawin mo 'yan.' Pero siguro I will take the best picture in terms of sexiness ratings."

 

Tinanong naman ng PEP si Rachel tungkol sa Vera Coulture Nonito Donaire Jr. bags na project niya. Ni-launch kamakailan ni Rachel ang kanyang Vera Coulture Bags and Purses store sa Fort Bonifacio, Global City, Taguig.

 

"We're still in production... Every single bag takes two to three months. So, upon the launch of the store, I already worked with the production to make that Nonito Donaire bag, but we're still tweaking it pa, kasi, di ba nga, it has to be perfect. The bag is, you know, not for him, but for me, but he has his name on it. So, I really want it to be perfect. If it has to take six months, to a year or two years, for it to finally come out, well...that's how long it will take," sagot ni Rachel.

 

NONITO SLIPS UP.  Natanong naman ang mag-asawa kung kailan ba nila balak magkaroon ng baby. Sagot ni Nonito, magiging grateful daw sila ni Rachel kung mangyari man na magka-baby agad sila, pero sa ngayon daw na aktibung-aktibo siya sa boxing at showbiz, kung maaari raw ay huwag muna silang magkaanak.

 

"Ayokong maging selfish. Pag nandun na yung anak ko, I would like to spend every minute, every hour, and every time na I will see my son or my daughter grow up, I will be there and give them whatever that I got. Ayoko na, lalaban ako, wala ako dun, o wala si Daddy, kasi nagte-training. Ayoko ng ganun. Gusto ko na nandun ako to give and to know na I love my kids, and I will be there to protect them. Parang gano'n yung gusto ko," paliwanag ni Nonito.
