Sabi niya: "Rio is as lovely as ever, gracious and well-informed. Her beautiful daughters are well-bred. Her husband is the brainy jock Padim Israel, PBA star turned preacher, Padim Israel..."

Rio Locsin's two elder daughters, Paula Bianca and Costa Palma, are by estranged actor-husband, Al Tantay.  Ang youngest, si Joses, in her early 20s, ay anak ni Rio sa asawang si Padim Israel.

"Hindi lang 'luster' ang mayroon si Rio," pagtukoy rin ni Direk Elwood. "Matalino at mabait kaya masuwerte [rin] si Rio. She exudes confidence because she is a fulfilled artist, wife, and parent.

"The last time Rio and I worked together was in Waikiki, in 1980... Although just a week ago, she and I bumped into each other at Greenbelt 5 and she looked great. She was ever so warm and so were her two gorgeous daughters to whom she introduced me as 'the Launching Director.'

"Ako nga naman ang nag-launch sa kanya in 1979 in the phenomenal hit Disgrasyada, which started her reign as a movie queen with several lead and title roles, directed by the best directors of the '70s and '80s.

"She and I worked again [in the early '80s], in Stepsisters, with her then screen 'rival,' Lorna Tolentino. Her longevity as a working actor does me proud..."

BROCKA AND BERNAL. Sa talaan ni Rio Locsin ng mga ipinagmamalaki niyang pelikula ay kabilang nga ang mga pinagbidahang idinirehe nina Joey Gosiengfiao at Elwood Perez. Pero hindi rin niya kinakalimutan ang iba pang naging paboritong pelikulang ginawa ng ibang nakatrabahong direktor, tulad ng:

Unang Yakap, idinirek ni Eddie Rodriguez; romance-drama, na katambal niya si Lloyd Samartino, at ka-love triangle si Alma Moreno.

Gising sa Magdamag, dinirek ni Leroy Salvador. "Gustung-gusto ko yung pelikulang yun ni Tito Leroy. Underrated siya. Hindi masyadong napansin, pero matindi yung mensahe, tungkol sa prostitution at yung mga babaeng nasadlak dito, na gustong magbagong-buhay..." pagbabalik-tanaw ni Rio.

Haplos. Nabanggit ito ni Elwood Perez; sa direksiyon ni Butch Perez, gumanap si Rio bilang isang nagbabalik na multo ng nakaraan ni Christopher de Leon, katambal si Vilma Santos.

Burlesk Queen at Aliw-Iw, by Direk Celso Ad Castillo. Says Rio, "Sa Burlesk... dinaanan lang naman ako ng camera. Yung Aliw-Iw, maganda talaga, ang ganda ng lightings no'n. Iba talagang gumawa si Celso Ad Castillo." 

Nakatrabaho rin ni Rio sina Mario O'Hara (a scene in Condemned with lead actress Nora Aunor) at Maryo J. de los Reyes (Disco Madhouse, with Lorna T.).

Of course, memorable ang mga classic films na ginawa ni Rio, at idinirek ng dalawang National Artists for Film—Lino Brocka at Ishmael Bernal.

"With Ishma [Bernal], ginawa ko yung Menor de Edad, Salawahan, Working Girls 1, at Manila By Night (City After Dark), na puro classic na ngayon. Ahead of its time nga raw yung comedy na tulad ng Salawahan, e. Siyempre, nung bagets pa ako!" natawa siya. 

Dagdag niya, "Ang una kong ginawa with Lino Brocka, yung Init. Kami nina Tita Chato [Charito Solis], Laurice Guillen, si Tito Leroy [Salvador] at Phillip Salvador. Ang gagaling ng mga kasama ko!"
