A small group of people met virtually. 

It happened in 2007, when a thread in the forum site, Pinoy Exchange, was born. They were only 13 then.

Fast forward to 2011, there are now 514 of them. How apt that they've decided to call themselves PASIONistas!

These career women and two men are all very passionate...for the love of Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion, the inspiration for the group's name.

Last June 18, 2011, at the Cinema 2 of Powerplant Mall, the fan club gathered its members for the block screening of KC's film, Forever and a Day.

Monin Navarro, the acting head of the group, told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Yung activity na ito, oh my God, it takes time. Kasi iipunin mo yung pera, then yung pag-organize nito—pag-rent ng movie, ng theater, yung pag-dadala ng mga Virlanie kids..."

She added, "These two incredibly wonderful persons, we wholeheartedly support them—individually and as a couple."

But aside from patronizing their endorsements and projects, the Pasionistas also "support their idols' advocacies."

Tita Monin (which is what everybody calls her) said, "Para sa akin, ang pinaka-importante na ginagawa namin para sa kanila [KC and Piolo], yung outreach program. Yung mga charities nila, we help also.

"So, yung activity na iyan, twice a year namin ginagawa. Pag sinabi namin sa members, magkakaroon [tayo] ng outreach, ganito, [ang] daming pera to the point na minsan, sasabihin namin, 'Tama na kasi, sarado na.' Very generous sila. Unbelievable!"

That night, in support of the female lead of Star Cinema's 18th anniversary offering, they brought 50 kids from Virlanie Foundation to the movie house.

"It's not just the kilig factor," explained the lady who devoted at least four hours of her time for the event preparations. "We are aware of our social responsibilities and we have harnessed the resources of our group to form an outreach program that has benefited the charities that are close to PJ and KC's heart."

How do they update Piolo and KC about their projects?

Tita Monin replied, "They don't actually meet with us in person. Hindi naman. Kung ano lang, kung pumupunta kami sa taping nila, nire-report namin yung mga activities namin, ganun."

And what's the reward of being a PASIONista?
