ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. announced earnings results for the first half of 2008. The company reported that its first-half net income rose 2% to PHP 754 million from PHP 739 million in the same period last year. Last years net income included one-time gains of PHP 172 million from license fees paid by DirecTV to ABS-CBN after the latters US subscribers migrated to DirecTV. Consolidated revenues in the first semester reached PHP 10.2 billion, as advertising minutes grew 11%.
GMA Network Inc. announced earnings results for the first half of 2008. For the first half, the company posted net income of PHP 1.137 billion, 2% higher than the net income of PHP 1.118 billion reported during the same period last year. The improvement in the company's earnings was due to PHP 530 million in political ad revenues booked during the same period last year ahead of the May 2007 national and local elections. The results came in flat for the first half of the year as expenses rose faster than revenues. For the month of July, the parent company's gross revenues hit PHP 1.2 billion or a 17.5% increase, while net income topped PHP 263.5 million, a 32.3% jump over the same month last year. The company is expecting better second half results.

ako din dati solid kapuso pero ngayon nagiging 50-50 na rin nakakasawa na kasi yung mga artista sa 7 paulit-ulit nlng ang mga mapapanood mo..mas binibigyan pa ng priority ung mga hindi marunong umarte like rhian ramos (nepotism ba ito?!)and nakakasawa na rin si marian at dingdong especially marian na wala na yatang ibang sayaw na alam kundi yung sa marimar..pleaa aaase..
