I am a Loyal Kapuso pero I admit ever since gaya gaya na talaga ang GMA7, yun ang weakness nila. PEro pag may naisip silang bagong concept na original, tlaga namang tinatangkilik ng manunuod gaya ng Mulawin, Asian Treasures, Encantadia, Majika etc..
But for me, GMA7 is still the Best and No.1 in Mega Manila
Mega Manila consist of Metro Manila and the provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal which is considered as the largest audience share which can conclude the ratings for the whole country
Mega Manila TV Ratings are used as a guide by Advetisers to what station they will advertise.
AGB Nielsen Media Research (which GMA7 is a subcriber) datas show that GMA Network still leads in
Mega Manila during the 1st Quarter of 2010
Taylor Nelson Sofres Media (which ABS-CBN is a sole subscriber) meanwhile says that ABS-CBN already overtaken GMA7 in Mega Manila. Their data shows that most of the timeslots are still dominatyed by GMA7. So they cannot conclude that ABS-CBN has really overtaken GMA7 in Mega Manila TV Ratings
For the 1st Quarter of 2010, it has been a tight fight. Programs of ABS-CBN such as Showtime, Wowowee, Agua Bendita, ASAP XV, and Pilipinas Got Talent has been consistently No.1 in it's timeslot but GMA7 will not end up the fight just like that. GMA7 recently axed SOP in place of Party Pilipinas which started better as compared to it's predecessor. GMA7 still dominated almost all timeslots in Daytime, Afternoon and Primetime. From Unang Hirit, Daisy Siete, SineNovela:Gumapang, SineNovela:Ina, Family Feud, First Time, The Last Prince, Diva, Queen Seon Deok, Saksi are still consistently No.1 in their timeslots. GMA7 suffered a lot during weekends when almost all timeslots are dominated by the rival station. GMA7 is starting to unleash it's counter against rival as it unfolds the teleserye Claudine and the reality sitcom Pepito Manaloto.

I am looking at channel 5 seriously because they bring to the table the same ferocity that GMA7 had when they started toppling ABS-CBN. But like ABS-CBN before, GMA7 is becoming predictable, hence a bore, so TV5 offers a third option in my viewing selection.... Meantime, read this item about Manny Villar.
