Dennis Trillo on Marian Rivera: "Kung ano man yung success n'ya, kasama rin ako dun."

Dennis Trillo is now a convert of fortune telling. In the recent pocket press conference held for the male star of Tarot, Dennis was surprised to learn that his fortune would be told by a Tarot reader. It turned out that most of the descriptions given by the female fortuneteller were accurate even though they were private details that were not known to most people.


"Nung una po bago po ako pumasok dito sa kwartong ito kanina, hindi po ako naniniwala sa kahit na anong hula, or Tarot card," admits Dennis. "Pero pagkatapos po ako mabasahan ng mga baraha kanina parang nagbago yung pananaw ko dahil, actually hanggang ngayon po shock parin ako dahil hindi ko akalain na pati yung mga personal detail sa buhay ko malalaman ng baraha talaga. Hindi po namin tinanong, e, positive po lahat nung ano yung lumabas sa baraha, kaya masaya ako dahil marami siyang sinabi tungkol sa success, about sa career at swerte, kaya talagang masaya akong aalis dito sa presscon na ito, ngayong araw na ito."


During the pocket interview, Mother Lily sat down with the matinee idol and revealed her own testimonial about having her fortune told by a Tarot reader.

"Of course, you know, I have been with Tarot cards for more than 30 years. Talagang naniniwala ako sa Tarot. There was a time na akala ko, I would not engage in other businesses. All the while I thought that I will always stick to movie production. Tapos, there were also a card reader sa Tarot, sabi nya, ‘Soon you will own this building.' Sa Tarot ha, it was really a card. Sabi ko hindi na nga ako naniniwala, wala naman akong pera. But in three years' time, you're going to build this building. So, finally, this [Imperial Palace Suites] was done. So we really have to believe."

For Dennis, how was it like working with Marian Rivera again? The two were first paired together on the big screen for the 2006 horror film Pamahiin.


Dennis responded by saying, "Sobrang swerte ko dahil kahit na sobrang sikat and kahit na talagang busy ang sked ni Marian, nagkaroon pa rin ng chance na makatrabaho s'ya at mabigyan kaming dalawa ng magandang project tulad nitong Tarot. Sobrang privileged ako and blessed makatrabaho ang isang artista na talagang kinagigiliwan at pinapalakpakan ng maraming tao, kasi kung ano man yung success n'ya kasama rin ako dun, kasi nandito kami sa isang pelikula."

Did Dennis court Marian in the past?

"Hindi po, e, kasi since pareho kami ng manager baka respeto na lang and... hindi talaga talo, kung baga, yun yung term, hindi kami talo."

Dennis describes the plot of the movie by saying, "Ito kasing Tarot, may gift si Marian sa panghuhula. Nakakabasa siya ng Tarot cards pero every time na gagamitin nya yung card, merong kababalaghang nangyayari. Merong major incident na mangyayari sa character ko, na kakailanganin nyang gamitin yung cards, and dun magsisimulang magulantang magkaroon ng ibat ibang kababalaghan at marami ng katakot-takot na pangyayari na magaganap dun sa pelikula, dun iikot yung istorya.


"Si Roxanne naman, ayokong ikwento tungkol masyado dun sa relasyon namin ni Roxanne pero basta, malaking part talaga yun, character ni Roxanne, sobrang essential para mabuo yung kwento ng Tarot, kasi ano e, ayoko ng ikwento basta kailangan nyo mapanood."

Dennis was previously paired with Roxanne Guinoo in the "Bangungot" episode of Shake, Rattle, and Roll 9.
