In the May 22 episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya, viewers will be able to witness the heartbreaking story of Myla (portrayed by Aiza Seguerra). When her family learns that she is a lesbian, Myla is dubbed as the black sheep of the family. Even her older brother, Cocoy (Dominic Ochoa), cannot accept her sexuality. The hapless tomboy is even thrown out of their own home because they despise her.

For his part, Cocoy has always been there for his family. However, he develops arthritis, leaving him bedridden and dependent on other people.

Myla, who was once dubbed as the black sheep of the family, was the only sibling who helped Cocoy in his time of need. Watch the upcoming MMK episode to see the story of a lesbian who experiences discrimination from her own family.
