Filipinos are in mourning over the death of the country's one and only Comedy King, as Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon succumbed to multiple organ failure at the age of 83.

The nation may have lost its King of Comedy but never the more than five wonderful decades of laughter and joy. This Sunday, July 15, the news organization joins the country in saying goodbye to him, via GMA News' special coverage of Dolphy's interment dubbed "Salamat, Dolphy" and GMA News TV Channel 11's "Dolphy Sunday."

Live updates straight from the Heritage Park  will air on GMA-7 from 9:30 in the morning for the Mass, and  from 1:30pm in the afternoon  for funeral service.

GMA News TV's "Dolphy Sunday," includes a countdown of  Dolphy's most memorable performances in Ang Pinaka's Top 10 Favorite Dolphy Movies at 6:25pm. This episode first aired in 2008 on the occasion of the King's 80th birthday and it features Dolphy himself as a panelist.

At 8:40 pm, award-winning program Reel Time presents the documentary Pidol of the Pipol, which tells the story of avid fans of Dolphy from the railroad tracks and how the multi-awarded artist influenced the lives of the poorest of the poor.

GMA News TV will also have a special screening of the Dolphy classic Silveria at 10:40pm. Silveria is a 1958 fantasy film about a talking horse and his human friend which stars Dolphy with Daisy Romualdez, Eddie Garcia and Panchito.  It was directed by Luciano Carlos and was written by Mars Ravelo.
