Butas (Loophole) is a sex-oriented indie movie, but its director Alejandro "Bong" Ramos exerted his best efforts to infuse the sex and nude scenes with rhyme and reason.

Some of the highlights of the film are the sex scenes of Gwen Garci and Marco Morales; Marco's breakdown; Marco's climbing the ceiling completely naked; Gwen and Marco's bathroom scene; Gwen running naked through tall grasses; and newcomer Froilan Moreno's blowjob scene with a transvestite.

But all of the above sex scenes are told in a stylized manner. Nudity is balanced by highly charged dramatic scenes of the lead characters fleshed out award-winning actor Allen Dizon (who did not disrobe in the film), former Viva Hotbabe Gwen Garci, former SOP Showboys member Marco Morales and Mercedes Cabral (introduced in the film Serbis, wherein she completely bared in front of the camera).

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board has given Butas an R-18 classification.

According to Direk Bong, he was inspired to shoot Butas in the tradition of Filipino classic sex films such as Boatman (Tikoy Aguiluz), Virgin People (Celso Ad Castillo), Private Show (Chito Rono), Silip (Elwood Perez), Live Show (Jose Javier Reyes), Sidhi (Joel Lamangan) and Scorpio Nights (Peque Gallaga).

Meet and greet the cast of Butas when they visit the Robinsons Galleria Cinema lobby on January 31, Saturday, at 5 pm.

Butas (Loophole) is currently being shown in the following theaters: Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Ermita, Remar Theater Cubao, Isetann Recto Cinerama, Gotesco Ortigas, Gotesco Grand Central Caloocan, ABC-Theater Guadalupe, Robinsons Iloilo and Cebu Ultravistarama Cinema in Colon.
