After producing Compound and Sa Pagdapo ng Mariposa (At The Touch Of A Butterfly), Hubo Productions is currently working on its third offering titled N.A.S.L., a disturbing take on the unforeseen side-effects of social networking.

N.A.S.L. stands for Name-Age-Sex-Location, a popular acronym used in social chat lines on the internet or mobile phones. With recent news as regards to the growing dangers of social media such as "sexting," the movie is only but relevant to all viewers alike.

Written and directed by Will Fredo, N.A.S.L. jolts the audience with an unforgiving look at the results of the deadly mix of solitude and social interaction. Viewers will be treated to a glimpse into the world of his complicated characters and twisted plots. He calls his new work as "poignant to our times" and an "emotional roller coaster that is freakishly scary, kung hindi ka matatakot sa makikita mo, matatakot ka sa mararamdaman mo."

The film is produced and supported by long-time collaborators Greg Macaraeg, Jay Garcia, Joan Manalang, Ida Tiongson and George Sommerrock.

This suspense thriller stars Jake Macapagal, fresh from his Singapore lead role stint in Broadway's Victor/Victoria, and Sue Prado, star of Raymond Red's Himpapawid. They act opposite Mercedes Cabral, Cannes 2008 Most Beautiful Woman, and one of the stars of internationally renowned movies Serbis and Kinatay. The movie also showcases newly discovered talents, Vio Antonio and Noriko Ogasawara.

SYNOPSIS. N.A.S.L. takes us into the lives of a married couple—freelance photographer Felipe Aguinaldo (Jake Macapagal) and his depressed housewife Nora (Sue Prado) who are challenged by an underlying fracture in their marriage. This is further complicated by their mischievous daughter, Mira (Noriko Ogasawara), who turns to social networking to spice up their mundane existence. Nora meets Kevin Lopez (Vio Antonio), a young call center agent whose obsession with Sylvia Cruz (Mercedes Cabral), a sought-after model of Felipe, begins a trail of death. Body count increases as the web of social networking consumes unsuspecting victims.

Completing the cast are veteran theatre and film actors Perry Escaño, Diana Malahay, Markus Schmidt, Fritzie Cabial, Al Gatmaitan, and Bong Cabrera.

N.A.S.L. is expected to finish production this year.
