GMA-7 actor Dingdong Dantes will have ABS-CBN talents Angelica Panganiban, Angel Locsin, and Zanjoe Marudo as his co-stars in an upcoming movie.


With the working title One More Try, this project is Dingdong’s second movie with ABS-CBN’s film production outfit Star Cinema.  

It will be directed by Ruel Bayani, who helmed the blockbuster adult drama No Other Woman.

This also marks Dingdong’s second time to work with Angelica after they played a married couple in the horror film Segunda Mano.

“I feel very fortunate that I was given another chance. I’m very excited,” Dingdong was quoted as saying in an interview with ABS-CBN News during the story conference held on May 8. “I’m happy to work with Star Cinema again because they gave me such a wonderful experience exactly a year ago.”

Kris Aquino also topbilled this horror film, which earned for Dingdong the Best Actor award at the 37^th Metro Manila Film Festival.

When asked about the movie’s “daring” plot, Dingdong explained, “I think kaya siya magiging daring dahil yun yung magiging resulta ng pagka-kumplikado ng plot.”

In One More Try, Dingdong and Angelica are married to each other but their characters will be romantically involved with the characters played by Angel Locsin and Zanjoe Marudo.


ON MARIAN RIVERA. Dingdong emphasized that his girlfriend, Marian Rivera, knows about his sexy scenes in this movie.

He said about Marian: “She’s very supportive of it. Ganyan naman kami sa mga kanya-kanya namin projects, eh, we support each other. Dahil sa totoo naman kumukuha kami ng lakas sa isa’t-isa.”

The Kapuso actor added: “Sa liit ng industriya there will really come a point na makakatrabaho at mae-encounter mo ang iba’t-ibang arista, and I think this is the time na mangyayari yun and it’s a job, and someone just has to do it.”
