Chito Roño's The Healing has already raked P80 million at the box office in its first week alone.
According to Star Cinema, this suspense thriller was able to reach this milestone yesterday, July 31.
The Healing is the first Filipino movie to be given two ratings by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). There is an R-18 version (considered as the directr's cut) as well as an R-13 version.

Despite the continuous heavy rains and the film's restricted rating from the MTRCB, moviegoers showed support for the suspense-horror flick that kicks off the grand celebration of the Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos’ 50th anniversary in showbusiness.
Aside from its regular screening in 145 theaters nationwide, The Healing is also being shown in cinemas overseas including North America, Guam, Canada, and Papua New Guinea.
Under the production of Star Cinema, The Healing was given the highest grade of “A” by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
Also included in powerhouse cast of The Healing are Kim Chiu, Janice de Belen, Mark Gil, Martin del Rosario, Jhong Hilario, Allan Paule, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, Ces Quesada, Ynez Veneracion, Simon Ibarra, Abi Bautista, Joel Torre, Chinggoy Alonso, Mon Confiado, Carmi Martin, and Pokwang.
