Bea Alonzo reunites with John Lloyd Cruz for their most daring movie

"Madadala ka kapag makikita mo kung paano siya nagko-concentrate, nagre-research, at kung gaano kalaki yung dedication na 'binibigay niya sa trabaho."

Sa first-ever "bravest" film nila John Lloyd, baon daw ni Bea ang mga "pinagdaanan" niya sa nakaraang sampung taon.

"Baon ko dito ang lahat memories at mga pinagdaanan ko, good times and bad times. Nag-grow ako as an actress dahil sa lahat ng experiences na yun."

 
Ayon kay Bea, ang The Mistress ay isang napakagandang "imperfect love story."

Aniya, "Siguro habambuhay kong pagsisisihan kung nag-'no' ako sa pelikulang ito. Kailangan mo siyang panoorin para madiscover mo na may another form of love, mayroong imperfect love story, pero mararamdaman mo, it’s a perfect feeling.

"At maintindihan nating may mga bagay na hindi 'binibigay sa atin para maging happily ever after ang love story natin, pero para matuto ka."

Ang The Mistress ay ang hindi ordinaryong kuwento ng pag-ibig nina Sari Alfonso (Bea) at JD Torres (John Lloyd), na pinagkrus ang landas sa hindi inaasahang pagkakataon. Ano ang gagawin mo kung ang kaisa-isang babaeng minamahal mo ay pagmamay-ari na ng iba?

Sa ilalim ng direksyon ni Olivia Lamasan, ang The Mistress ay mapapanood sa mga sinehan nationwide simula September 12, 2012.

    ABOUT WOMEN AS SEXUAL OBJECT. This latest movie of Bea and JLC is another FORM showing women as sexual object. This should be rated X for restricted viewing. The movie shows DISRESPECT to women, demoted women at the LOWEST level of status, and is produced by ABS CBN Star Cinema.

    it is not my judgement. based on the PRESS releases from ABS CBN Star Cinema, ang istorya ng The Mistress ay tungkol sa paggamit ni Bea ng katawan niya para magkapera through being the lover of Ronaldo Valdez. O di ba, MALINAW pa sa sikat ng araw na OBJECTIFICATION of women bilang sexual object ang ipapalabas ng ABS CBN Star Cinema!

    it maybe what you say Bruno, others would say that it is only art imitating life... things like that happen in the real world, so get over it. You can even objectify sexually women without resorting to baring their skin. In the end, what is important is what lesson you learned, if your learning stopped at Bea's body, then, boohoo! you need to relearn!

    its interesting as this would be the first "adult" movie of JL and BA as we are used watching them on drama comedy movies in the past. I think both are good actors as well but Im just a little pessimistic on the originality of the script. the concept of imperfect love story or illicit affairs have been used so many times... maricel-aga-angelica , anne-derek-christine and many more. so i guess we need to wait on how this movie would give a different take on this plot.

    Kahit na ano sabihin ni bruno aka hugo bacungan o kahit sinumang kapuso dyan, this movie will be a massive hit at baka mag number 1 pa among Filipino movies at the end of the year, at yan ang hindi kayang ipagmalaki ng GMA films nila. If I know hugo ang the rest of the kapuso will also watch this movie at ayaw lang nilang aminin. FACT!

    the movie might be a blockbuster as per abs cbn star cinema PRESS release, however the big question is, would that be enough for abs cbn to be ABLE to declare DIVIDEND payments this year? SHOW us the money, announce dividends, PAY now!

    Sure hit na naman to from Popoy and Basha! Pasalamat tayo sa Star Cinema dahil sa paggawa ng magagandang pelikula na bumubuhay sa Philippine Movie Industry. Sana makasabay din ang GMA films para di na lang puro SC.

    I beg to disagree Bruno, Born to love was not a flop, maybe mild hit lang dahil walang 100 M ang inabot ng gross income but that's understandable dahil first movie lang un ni Angeline Quinto. Sa totoo lang tau and be objective!

    nga pala born tolove is top 5 among the top grossers ngaung taon na ito, hi brono, paki define nga flop sayo, kc ang flop movie, para sakin ay yung kumikita ng total gross na 20million pababa, kung flop ang 50 million sayo, hindi ko na madefine ang kinita ng gma films na hindi umabot ng 2 digits in million ang kinita,

    nga po pala, mabanggit ko lang sa mga naninira ng mga shows at movies and artist ng abs cbn, dapat ata pati album ng mga kapamilya tirahin nyo din, kc naka platinum na si daniel padilla, nahigitan na nya sa pagiging profitable ang singers ng gma7 saka ang walang hanggan album volume 2, no.1 na din po sa sales at alaam nyo po ba number 2 sa sales ang walang hanggan volume 1. nga pala baka hanapin nyo n nmn kinita ng abs cbn, last time kc naka 15billion sila, wait tayo sa december ha.

    kung gusto nyo malaman kung anong network ang tinangkilik ng advertisers for past 6 months hanapin nyo ang revenues sa advertisement, kung sino mas malaki kita yun ang mas pinagkakatiwalaan at ibase nyo din d2 kung ano mas reliable AGB or Kantar. Kung total na kita sa buong 6months gross revenues tawag dun, isa lang naman ang point d2, abs gross 15billion as compare sa 6 billion ng gma7, mas pinagkatiwalaan ng advertisers at ng mga televiewers ang kantar at abs cbn, bagamat sabi ay down daw ang kita ng abs ngaun ay kitang kita naman po na kahit down ay sobrang behind padin ng milya milya ang kalabang network,

    Gosh, BEA Alonzo having kissing scenes love scenes with RONALDO Valdez. Parang magLOLO na naman sila, sana konting DELICADEZA naman, konting DECENCY. NakakaDIRI naman yung mga ganung eksena at HINDI BAGAY sa mga kabataan ng bansa ng Republika ng Pilipinas sa Asia Pacific. Dapat dyan FOR ADULTS only ang classification!

    how nice naman, very concern ka naman po, hayaan mo, kung may problema naman sa movie na ito, hindi ito papayagan ng MTRCB or makalusot man, babatikusin ito ng simbahang katoliko. Pero una punta ka sa news na approve kay maxene ang pre-marital sex, at pagsabihan mo sya. At isa pa bakit nga pala wala kayo sa Just one Summer review, nag alisan lahat ng mga taga gma7 dun, hindi nyo n b nakayanan ang katotohanan?

    para namang hindi nangyayari sa totoong buhay ang malaki ang GAP ng mga mag partners... pinapakita lang ng pelikula ang realidad... hindi lang basta ginawa ang scene for the sake of publicity or para may pag usapan... ginawa ang scene na yun kasi kailangan ipakita para maging mas realistic... nangyayari po sa totoong buhay ang ganun... magpakatotoo ka at wag lang basta maka comment at maka-panira... mas maganda gumastos kayo sa pagnood ng just 1 summer para naman madagdagan ang kita...hehehe peace

    glossy but still trashy. remember, sa dinami dami ng mga movies na ginawa ng star cinema, mabibilang sa daliri ang nakapasa sa QUALITY measures at STANDARDS ng URIAN. last year nga, walang nakapasa sa mga movies ng star cinema by URIAN standards.

    Marami nang Star Cinema movies ang nanalo ng URIAN awards since 1993. Pero last year, ang biggest movie nila,IN THE NAME OF LOVE, naka-isang nomination lang for Jake Quenca. But nevertheless its a good quality movie. Naka tatlong URIAN Best pictures na ang Star Cinema- Sana Maulit Muli, Bata-Bata Paano Ka Ginawa and Dekada 70.

    Ilan pang Star Cinema movies ang nanalo ng URIAN awards- May Minamahal, Maala-ala Mo Kaya? The Movie, Pare Ko, Eskapo, Madrasta, Batang PX, Ligaya Ang Itawag Mo sa Akin, Tanging Yaman,La Vida Rosa,Kailangan Kita, Milan, Nasaan Ka Man. Yun Kasal,Kasali,Kasalo and Radio Romance nominated din for best picture pero di nanalo kahit isa, but definitely nakapasa sila sa Urian. To Bruno, punta ka na lang sa website ng Manunuti, bago mo i-dismiss and Star Cinema.
