"Foster Child" named Best Picture by the Young Critics Circle

The Young Critics Circle, an award-giving body composed of members of  academe, has announced the list of nominees and winners for the Film Year 2007. Foster Child was named Best Film of the Year by the YCC but Endo won three awards compared to the two honors received by Dante Mendoza's film on foster parents.

The Cherry Pie Picache-starrer was pitted against Endo for the Best Picture plum as well as the Best Screenplay award. Foster Child won in both categories. Endo by ufo Pictures', on the other hand, bagged the awards for Best Achievement in Film Editing, Best Achievement in Sound and Aural Orchestration, and Best Performance by a Male (Jason Abalos in Endo).
