PEP REVIEW: Ang Panday marks visual effects breakthrough

This action-fantasy film is one of the seven entries competing in the 35th Metro Manila Film Festival. The new version of Ang Panday is co-produced by GMA Films and Imus Productions and is directed by Mac Alejandre.

Ang Panday will be screened in cinemas starting Christmas Day, December 25, 2009.

The story of Panday has been retold for many times since the fictional comics character was created in 1979 by Carlo J. Caparas.

From print, the character debuted on the big screen via a string of "Panday" movies, the most popular of which featured late Fernando Poe Jr., who starred in four Panday films.

In 1993, Bong Revilla Jr. starred as a descendant of Flavio in Ang Dugo ng Panday. In the 2009 version, he now takes the role of Flavio himself.

Hay naku, siguRaduhin niyo lang na ang Movie na ipinagmamalki ninyo ay aabot kahit sa kalahati man lang ng Bao-Office Gross ng You Chang my lIfe..

Flop naman ang Panday....Hindi pa nakabawi ang mga producers sa laki ng gastos nila para sa movie na ito....

napanood na namin ng family ko super enjoy ang mga chikiting. maganda yung effects. pang hollywood pero yung story it's still the same. parang level lang ng enteng kabisote, exodus at resiklo. di ko napanood yung tv serie na panday pero i think Jericho Rosales would also be perfect for the role.

i saw the movie na. maganda lang talaga special effects pero yung story okay lang. galing ni iza at buboy. pero mas okay nga kung si jericho rosales sana gumanap kasi matanda na si bong revilla. no offense sa mga followers niya. kaya nag flop yung panday series kasi panget yung production at di maganda yung takbo ng story, but jericho perfectly fits the role of flavio.

Pagdating sa fantasy magaleng ang GMA gumawa.

Christmas is about entertainment, eh ano gusto nyo puro nalang drama napapanood batuhan ng lines.

dapat lang talaga magsama yang si bong at rosanna. grabe yung ginawa ni jolo kay Lovi Poe, pinagsasampal at sinabunutan in public. tapos si Rosanna naman, pinagsalitaan ng mga masasama si Lovi Poe sa set ng LIPGLOSS.

mac_guy_ver, alam mo walang masama sa pagiging kargador at basurero ni jericho. at least siya anak, di siya nagnanakaw. mas masaklap sa mga revillas dahil dami nila ginagawang mga kalokohan.

hay naku. eto na naman tayo. sa english english na yan. okay lang kahit baluktot english ni Jericho at least he's trying. mga latino stars nga like Manolo Cardona, Christian Meier at Antonio Banderas, may accent pa rin at minsan nahuhuli mo sumasablay ang grammar nila, pero ang sexy pa rin nila. same with JERICHO ROSALES na super papalicious talaga. and as for the KILIKILI thingy? mas pipiliin ko nalang mahiga sa kilikili ni JERICHO kaysa diyan kay BONG na mukhang ewan. Bastos pa sa mga babae.

dad ko, dating kargador sa pier pero naigapang nila ng mom ko ang pag-aaral ko. taas noo ako ngayon dahil kahit kargador at labandera parents ko, mahal nila ako. ganun din yun kay JERICHO ROSALES, kahit naging kargador siya, naging tindero ng isda at basurero, may golden heart siya kasi nasa news pa yun dati, hindi siya natakot sumulong sa flood ng ONDOY. eh yang mga Revillas? walang ginawa kundi magpa pogi sa media eh hindi naman mga pogi. mga MONGOLOIDS. williamlevy, hindi lang po pinagsasampal ni Jolo Revilla si Lovi Poe, kinaladkad pa ito at hinila ang buhok sa harap ng maraming tao. Sa PASAY nangyari yung incident. dami kaya nakakita. nakakahiya yang pamilya na yan. anak ni FPJ, pinagsasampal lang? pasalamat sila hindi na pinatulan ni Lovi yung issue.
