Kris Aquino-Dingdong Dantes movie Segunda Mano set to start shooting this July

Kris Aquino excitedly shared details about her upcoming Metro Manila Film Fest entry with Dingdong Dantes titled Segunda Mano. It's going to be a suspense flick with a few touches of comedy directed by Joyce Bernal.

"Heto na yung good news," said Kris Aquino when she met with the press last Wednesday, June 28, on the set of her new morning talk show Kris TV on ABS-CBN.

She was referring to her upcoming movie with Dingdong Dantes titled Segunda Mano.

It was confirmed in October 2010 that the two will be working together in a movie project. (CLICK HERE to read related story.)

It was said that shooting will start as early as the first quarter of 2011. But until now, none of the said plans have pushed through.

Kris shared what transpired between October 2010 and now.

"Okay na si Dong. Kasi, out of respeto, they went to Atty. [Felipe] Gozon himself to ask permission kasi co-production namin ito with Star Cinema."

According to Kris, GMA Films agreed to let Dingdong work on the co-production in exchange for her to do a movie with them next year.

"So, ang hiningi lang nila was that I sign a contract that will state na I'll do a movie with GMA for 2012."

Wouldn't there be a problem with her home studio, Star Cinema?

"E, after naman Segunda Mano, I fulfilled my obligation already with Star Cinema. So, I can really make one with GMA Films."

"So parang it's a win-win situation for everybody. Everybody's happy."

With all the legal technicalities finally settled, Kris was excited to say that they will start filming for Segunda Mano very soon.

"Dong and I will start [shooting na]."

"They're really hoping na July maka-break, kahit isang araw lang. Kasi 'di ba ang August 'death month' daw? So, ayaw nila na nagsa-start ng August, so, ta-try nila."

"Pero inaayos pa, kasi may tatlong weekends na meron akong commercial. So, inaayos nila yung schedule."

Dingdong i hope you will do it becuz it's worth it but not becuz of money. Good luck 2 u. huwag ka lang sanang magpagamit kay Kris at sa network na kailangang na ng saklolo from GMA talents.we all know how she plays the game be it in her professional, political and personal life. USER.

it's also good for stars of different networks to work together, baliw na lang ang mga fans na obsessed sa network war! unless, binabayaran talaga sila ng network to drumbeat and start a smear campaign on the big stars of one network, may isang network dyan, madumi maglaro, hay naku, i hope Kris and Dingdong will be able to defy the odds and stop this eng eng network war!
