ABS-CBN's upcoming romantic comedy, You Light Up My Life, has started shooting early this month. The production is topbilled by Gawad Urian Dekada awardee Coco Martin and Star Power grand winner Angeline Quinto.

The 29-year-old actor has so far been impressed by the Kapamilya network's new singing sensation who now dabbles in acting.

An online article on ABS-CBN News reports that Coco was surprised by Angeline's acting skills. He acknowledges that the newbie has had the potential all along. Coco even jokes that Angeline was just being modest when she said, prior to shooting the film, that she does not know how to act.

The actor who garnered acclaim and recognition in indie films such as Serbis, Kinatay, Noy, etc. also mentions that he and Angeline were probably paired because of their mass appeal.

"Siguro kasi nakita nila na pareho kaming masa, malapit sa tao, pareho kami ng pinanggalingan," Coco was quoted as saying during the interview. He reveals that he sees himself in Angeline whenever he witnesses her acting.

You Light Up My Life will be Angeline's first big screen project with the actor whom she has always openly admired.
