PULP Live World proudly presents Bazooka Rocks, a pop-punk festival featuring eight popular international bands: The Pretty Reckless, Mayday Parade, Marianas Trench, A Skylit Drive, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Maine, Avastera, and The Wonder Years.
They will play back-to-back with three young acts from the Philippine rock scene: Penguin, Robin Nievera, and Salamin. Bazooka Rocks will be held on September 30, 2012 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.
The Pretty Reckless is the Goth-influenced rock band fronted by Taylor Momsen (formerly of the popular TV show Gossip Girl). Mayday Parade and Forever the Sickest Kids are popular pop-punk bands that became famous in the last few years. A Skylit Drive is popularly known for their lighter and catchy take on metalcore and lead vocalist’s Michael “Jag” Jagmin’s uniquely high vocal range.
Marianas Trench, considered as one of Canada’s most popular new bands, is led by Josh Ramsay. Their vocalist's production and songwriting credits include the chart-topping single “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. The Maine is one of the most popular young international pop-rock bands, their album Pioneer is locally available in leading record bars under PULP Live Records. The Wonder Years is known for its critically-acclaimed albums and their frenetic live sets worldwide. Australian band Avastera is currently heating up local charts with “December Sun” from their EP The Clocks Have Ticked Too Long released locally under PULP Live Records.
