The APO Hiking Society is revered as a resilient pillar of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), and in the trio's The APO Collection concert at the Music Museum on October 12 and 13 at 8:30 p.m., the APO will show how their artistry binds Pinoy music fans from different generations.

The APO Collection is a more intimate follow-up to the group's highly successful PICC concert titled Mga Kuwento ng APO...38 Years of Music and Friendship last August 10, where thousands of loyal fans (70 percent) watched APO perform live for the first time.

"If you haven't seen an APO show in the last five years, chances are you don't know what an APO show is all about," says Buboy Garrovillo. "Watch The APO Collection and take a refresher course."

Jim Paredes assures music lovers that the show will be a lot of fun. He also adds that the trio thrives in every Music Museum show because the venue allows the performers to interact closely with the audience.

The APO Collection, according to Jim, will not only celebrate APO hits, but the "misses," as well.

"We dug deep into our 26 album repertoire," shares Jim. "In The APO Collection, we included songs that we never sang again since we recorded them. It will be exciting for everyone."

But for Danny Javier, more than performing new song numbers, the most exciting part of the concert is the trio's new, recharged energy level and deepened perspective of the materials they have gathered over the years.

They are one in saying that The APO Collection will still highlight the trio's impeccable repartee. A number of powerful medleys will also be performed at the concert.

The APO Collection, which has Neo-Soul diva Bituin Escalante as special guest, is a rare musical treat after the trio's semi-retirement seven years ago.

As Danny puts it, "the next time may not happen for quite sometime."
