Universal Records surprised singer Jed Madela when they awarded him the Double Platinum Record for his album Songs Rediscovered at ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP ‘08.

"What a pleasant surprise!" says Jed who is currently promoting his single "Iniibig Kita" from his Only Human album. His single, an original song composed just for him, is currently enjoying heavy rotation in FM radios nationwide as a popular love song. A music video of "Iniibig Kita" will be released soon.

Only Human now has a repackaged edition with four more songs added to the existing 17 songs. The additional songs include his powerful version of "You'll Never Walk Alone," a soulful rendition of "A House is Not a Home," a jazzy version of the 80's hit "Broken Wings," and "Someone Who Believes in Me."

Having sold out solo concerts here and in the United States, Jed Madela is ready to go transatlantic to do his first solo concert on April 5 at the Kensington Civic Center in Central London, United Kingdom. The concert titled Jed Madela Live in London! has been sold out since last month.

"I have not stopped thanking God for the continued blessings He has given me," says Jed. "He sent me this gift and I wish to humbly reciprocate the love by taking care of it and sharing it with the world."

After his European concert, the World Champion is getting ready for a series of provincial solo concerts slated after the summer months. Meanwhile, he continues to perform in corporate shows for multinational companies in the Philippines, Asia, Europe and the United States. Jed made his mark in the international music scene when he won the grand prize in the 2005 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).
