Musicians unite to support Ely Buendia

Over a hundred musicians from the OPM industry are set to gather at Eastwood City this Sunday, January 28, for LivELY: A Fundraising Concert for the Benefit of Ely Buendia.

The concert—which will begin at 4 PM at the Eastwood Central Plaza—will feature Francis M., Razorback, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Rivermaya, Itchyworms, True Faith, Cynthia Alexander, Spongecola, Dicta License, Chicosci, Greyhoundz, Up Dharma Down, Paramita, Ciudad, Moonstar 88, Join the Club, Teeth, Makatha, Salindiwa, Swissy, and Julianne.

This project, which was organized by Magic 89.9 and the friends of Ely Buendia, aims to raise funds to cover Buendia's hospital bills and medical expenses as he recovers from his recent heart attack .

Ely Buendia, front man for the rock band Pupil and former Eraserheads vocalist, suffered a heart attack during a gig in Laguna last January 7, 2007.

Aside from the bands that are scheduled to perform, other special guests from the music and entertainment industry will also appear to offer messages of support. The event is open to the public and cash donations will be accepted at the event.
