She was only nine years old when she took on the role of Little Orphan "Annie" in Repertory Philippines' production of the well-loved musicale. She even hosted her own kiddie TV show called Love, Lea.

Listen to her growth and transition from child star to a toast of Broadway and West End with the album I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing. The 19-track album features Lea Salonga's recordings from her childhood days that became identified with her like "I am But A Small Voice," "Tomorrow," her duet with her brother Gerard "Happiness," "Alphabet Song" and the title track.
