Last summer, top bands from Sony Music conquered Luzon malls with the Summer MusiKaraBand where they rocked the house with their music and prizes overflowed courtesy of PLDT myDSL.
As schools open this June, popular bands such as Pupil, 6cyclemind, Callalily, Cueshe, Itchyworms and Moonstar88 as well as new acts Letter Day Story, Roots of Nature and Duster will continue to make waves as they tour the malls for the Rock-To-School MusiKaraBand.
The event still presented by Sony Music and PLDT MyDSL in cooperation with MYX (the official music channel), FG Revolution Denim and Magic 89.9 will kick off on Sunday, June 14, at SM San Lazaro followed by SM Lipa on Friday, June 19. All shows start at 5 pm.
Discover Sony Music's latest discoveries Letter Day Story, Roots of Nature and Duster as they play side by side and face off with the established bands. Letter Day Story, winner of last year's major band contest, may be just new to the scene but they already have two hit singles to their name: "Ikaw Pa Rin" and the energetic single "Positib."
The alternative/acoustic band Roots of Nature just released their cover of Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" incorporating their style that once you hear is different from the original version. Female rockers Duster will surprise everyone with their new single "Gucci Gang," which will make a similar statement as "Dek-A-Doodle Dandy."
Expect more musical fireworks courtesy of these hot bands and more prizes to come with this Rock-To-School MusiKaraBand. This will be a rockin' afternoon with the hottest bands hitting your side of town. Join the ultimate music trip this season so bring your classmates and friends along.
