Richard Poon's latest album titled For You sweeps the music charts, allowing the crooner to receive a Gold Record Award. This recognition was presented by MCA Music during the August 2 episode of ASAP '09. That same day, the male singer also launched his second single titled "You and I."

His previous album I'll Take Care of You Platinum Edition was able to achieve Platinum status. Richard has been recognized with titles such as the 1st Philippine Radio Music Award's Breakthrough Artist, Best Performance by A New Male Recording Artist in the 21st Awit Awards, and Best Male Performer in Hotels, Music Lounges and Bars in the 2008 Aliw Awards.  

As a special treat to the audience, Special Edition RICHARD POON SD Cards and USBs are slated for release this month, containing his hits in a special For You package.

His album will soon reach international listeners since other Southeast Asian countries will be releasing For You in their territories as well within the year.

Following the success of his album For You, Richard Poon is also gearing up to launch his second single "You and I." Something to watch out is the special music video featuring Richard Poon's leading lady, Maricar Reyes.

Shot in Nasugbu Batangas and Antipolo, the music video of "You and I" speaks about eternal love, with a completely different and interesting twist.  Pixeleyes Multimedia, spearheaded by Jalz Zarate notes that this is one of their grandest projects to date, using cinematic equipment and high-grade cameras.

Richard Poon's 12-track, double-disc album titled For You is now available in major Odyssey, O Music and video and other record bars nationwide. Tracks from the album are also available for mobile download via Globe and SMART WAP sites.
