Kris Aquino and her son, Baby James, made a rare appearance in the October 11 episode of ASAP '09 to receive the Gold Record Award for their latest album titled We Are 1.

Singers and recording artists Zsa Zsa Padilla, Piolo Pascual, Jed Madela, Mark Bautista, Erik Santos, and Aiza Seguerra serenaded Kris and Baby James last Sunday afternoon. Ms. Annabelle Regalado, managing director of Star Records, presented the Gold Record award and informed the audience, "We would like to present this Gold Record Award to Kris and Baby James, our youngest recording artist, for We Are 1, an educational mommy-child bonding experience album. Actually papunta na siyang Platinum." 

Kris gratefully accepted the award and gave her own speech, "This is my fourth awarding in ASAP and for a non-singer like me, that means a lot. Baby James is also the youngest member of Star Magic and we promise to pledge our royalties for the victims of Ondoy. In our own little way, marami tayong mayayakap sa ating pagmamahal at pagkalinga." 

The TV host-actress said that aside from donating the royalty for the album, she would also give their talent fee for the Star Magic fashion show to victims of typhoon Ondoy and Pepeng.

We Are 1 is a two-disc musical, educational, and entertaining album that contains mother-and-child bonding music suited for pregnant mothers as well as infants and toddlers. Zaijian Jaranilla, Piolo Pacual and Gary Valenciano contributed tracks to the edu-taining album. It also contains voice recordings of Kris wherein she shares her thoughts about celebrations, loving and raising a family as well as the power of prayer.
