"We want to use some of the patriotic songs to tell the audience na kailangan na natin tulungan ang sarili natin bilang Filipinos. Yung aspirations natin for our country," Mr. C pointed out.
FILIPINOS ARE THE BEST SINGERS IN THE WORLD. In the microblogging site Twitter, American talk show host Ellen DeGeneres stated, "I've learned 2 things about TV. It's always easier with vodka & some of the best singers are from the Philippines."
The statement by Ellen was prompted by the stellar performance of Charice who wowed her during her guesting and another young singer, Rhap Salazar, who performed on the show last year.
Mr. C did not seem surprised by Ellen's observation. "Ako naman matagal nang naniniwala na the best singers come from here. In the last 20, 30 years, nag-ta-travel na sila sa Europe. In the last couple of years, ang mga cruise ships, mga Filipinos nandoon as musicians.
"Magaling talaga. Kasi unang-una, very musical tayo. Pero siyempre, ang dali-dali lang maging musician. Bakit madali? Kasi very innate sa atin. Ang dali maging singer."
He believes that Charice is very fortunate to have been able to perform in American TV shows like The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Maraming magaling. Maraming mas magaling pero siya ang sinuwerte. She came at the right time and at the right place. She was discovered at that time.
