Papakiligin ni Piolo Pascual ang mga fans niya sa isang konsiyertong pinamagatang Piolo meets the Maestro Ryan Cayabyab.
Kasama ni Piolo si Maestro Ryan Cayabyab at ang romantic concert ay magaganap sa araw ng mga puso, February 14, sa PICC.
COLLABORATION WITH THE MAESTRO. Hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na magkakatrabaho si Piolo at Maestro Ryan, na tinatawag ding "Mr. C" sa industriya.
Ayon kay Piolo: "Mr. C and I have been working closely together for more than a year on different concerts. This is the first time, though, that we're having a concert for the public.
"For this concert, we're just adding more songs. Some are his ideas, and some songs are from my album."
Ang mga album na ito ay ang platinum-award winning na Decades at ang No. 1 best-selling album na Decades 2.
Matagal na ngang nagkaka-trabaho sina Piolo at Mr. C, kaya handa na sila sa nalalapit na Valentine concert.
"Through all the four performances that we've had, unti-unti kaming nakaipon ng repertoire that I did specifically for Piolo," ani Maestro Ryan.
SONGS FROM THE BEATLES. Pinapangakong magiging isang gabi ng pag-ibig ang naturang konsiyerto.
Ayon kay Maestro Ryan: "Piolo has a slew of love songs. From the Decades album, mayroon kaming piniling mga kanta."
Pero dagdag pa dito ay may mga bagong akda si Mr. C na ipe-perform ni Piolo.
"I'm working on a soliloquy based on The Beatles' love songs. I'm working on a complete production number. If you notice, maraming songs ang Beatles na boy meets girl, then they fall in love, then, 'di nag-last, and it ends," ani Mr. C.
"I wrote the entire storyline using the lyrics of the Beatles songs, putting them together like a mosaic and putting the story of a failed relationship.
"It ends with the song The Long And Winding Road with the lyrics: 'Many times I've been alone, and many times I've cried. Anyway you'll never know, the many ways I've tried... But still they lead me back, to the long winding road," awit pa niya.
Paliwanag ni Mr. C: "Mas interesting, di lang may kurot sa puso, parang may kagat sa puso dahil may dramatic effect. I did this because I have a performer who will be able to do it using not only what he knows about singing but also using his emotions, showing it and performing it."
