The magnitude of any achievement (and failure) can only be truly measured when the dust has finally settled.

This is true even in the case of rock bands that have decided to call it quits after years of creating music and hit albums and singles.

Sugarfree—the three-piece, pop-rock trio composed of Ebe Dancel, Jal Taguibao and Kaka Quisumbing—are now at that stage, following the band's well-attended farewell show last March 1 in Libis, Quezon City.

Left in its wake are music fans and critics pondering the band's contribution to the music scene throughout its 11 years of existence.

Well, ponder no more.

PolyEast Records has just released Sugarfree's 100% Greatest Hits record—a collection of the band's memorable hit singles packed in one disc.

The band has released four studio albums in the past: Sa Wakas (2003), Dramachine (2004), Tala-Arawan (2006), and Morning & Airports (2009).

"Sugarfree songs have surely become the soundtrack of your college days, barkada night outs or your 'senti' moments," said PolyEast Records in a statement.

"100% Greatest Hits is a definitive album that features tracks from their 2003 debut up to their last Mornings & Airports in 2009. The collection gives an idea of how far they've come musically and professionally, fuelled by artistic differences, pressure from an already crowded band scene, and line-up changes which saw the departure of the band's drummer Mitch Singson in August 2006."

Expect to hear the band's biggest songs in the album, namely, "Burnout," "Mariposa," "Telepono," "Hari Ng Sablay," "Tulog Na," "Kwarto," "Dear Kuya," "Kung Ayaw Mo Na Sa Akin," "Nangangawit," "Wag Ka Nang Umiyak," "Hay Buhay," "Feels Like," and "Hangover."

Also included in the compilation are "Batang-Bata Ka Pa" which was used in the KaminApo Muna tribute album and "Makita Kang Muli," the original soundtrack of ABS-CBN's 2005 TV series Panday starring ex-lovers Jericho Rosales and Heart Evangelista.

100% Greatest Hits not only chronicles Sugarfree's growth, maturity and success in the music industry, it also gives fans and supporters closure.
