Matapos ang 28 years sa entertainment industry, isang TV special ang ihahandog ng ABS-CBN para sa performer na tinaguriang Mr. Pure Energy.


Ngayong Linggo, September 4, ipalalabas sa Kapamilya Network ang TV special titled With Love, Gary Valenciano. Ito rin ang title ng bagong album ni Gary na compilation ng mga teleserye and movie theme songs na na-record niya sa mga nakaraang taon.

Sa isang press conference noong Agosto 31, Miyerkules, sa Mesa Restaurant sa Tomas Morato, Quezon City, nagkaroon ng pagkakataon ang PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at ibang mga kasamahan sa press na makapanayam si Gary V. tungkol sa TV special na ipapalabas this Sunday sa ABS-CBN Sunday's Best Timeslot at 10:45 pm.

Ani Gary, "Kasi, everything's been done na, e—there's reality TV, then you have Showtime, those kinds of shows...then you have shows like the talk shows, you have that na.

"I wanted before to host parang So You Think You Can Dance? types of shows but then there's already Showtime. You have already so many different things that can usher in really good dancers.

"Kita mo naman, 'di ba, the products that have come out of Showtime. XB Gensan lang talagang, wow! Neilbeth [from Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 is also] very, very impressive."

WITH LOVE GARY VALENCIANO SPECIAL. Magkakaroon nga ng Sunday special si Gary Valenciano ngayong darating na Linggo, September 4, sa ABS-CBN, kunsaan makakasama niya on stage ang ilang Kapamilya stars na maghahandog ng ilang kanta.

Ano 'yong na-fi-feel mo about this upcoming TV special?

"Ako talagang nagpapasalamat ako sa ABS-CBN, kasi after 28 years, sino naman magaakala na mag-o-offer pa sila ng special?

"Hindi naman gano'n ka-often ang specials ngayon, so I'm really thankful that they've given me this chance and I had so much fun working with Mr. M, with Georcelle [Dapat], the choreographer of G-Force—working with G-Force, working with all the dancers, especially with the children.

"So simple lang yung ginawa namin pero grabe yung impact nung number namin kasi first time na kaming lahat, e.

"I always reserve a production number na kaming lahat kakanta. I always reserve that for a special occasion and this is, for me, a very special occasion."

Paano nga ba nabuo ang TV special na ito?

"The last time I talked to Mr. M [Johnny Manahan] regarding something creative was in my last concert with him which was in 1989 for Pure Energy.

"So in the past two weeks, there's been hardly any sleep for me because I was working on the changes and the sudden inputs from anybody form the group.

"But, it's just so good to have this special and it's an old school type of special—the way specials were used to be shown before."
