TV host-actress Anne Curtis marked another milestone in her career last Sunday, December 11, when she was given a Platinum Record Award for her debut album AnneBisyosa.

According to Liza Fonacier, operations manager of Odyssey Music and Video, "For almost 8 weeks, number 1 at talagang in demand ang debut album mo, ang AnneBisyosa, dito sa Odyssey Music and Video. People from all walks of life are grabbing a copy of it. Odyssey was there when you launched your album at naiyak ka pa sa tuwa at saya. Congratulations, Anne!"

David Halili, marketing consultant for Astrovision, said in his video message: "Hi, Anne, we're so proud of you because of your debut album." Another marketing consultant, Katherine Choy, revealed: "Your album has been on the top of the charts for several weeks now. Ever since lumabas ang album mo dito sa Astro, napaka-exciting talaga. We hope you will release more and more of your songs here in Astro."

Wearing a flowing silk dress, Anne took the stage to sing "Alone," one of the tracks of her debut album.

After pouring all her emotions into the song popularized by Celine Dion, Anne ended the power ballad with a shriek. ASAP Rocks host Piolo Pascual then described Anne as the "breakthrough diva of 2011."

Sam Milby also went to the stage and gave a bouquet of flowers to Anne.

The actress-turned-recording artist told the crowd: "Thank you! Nagdala ba kayo ng earplugs today? Live na live po yan, hindi ni-record!"

Sam revealed: "Alam ko dati, dati pa na dream mo na maging singer at ngayon, you're on the top of the radio charts and you have a best-selling record."

Anne responded by saying, "Sobra lang akong happy. Hindi ko talaga in-expect na may bibili ng album ko. Sa lahat ng bumili ng album ko, thank you. Sabi nga nila, ang tanging album ko lang ang hindi pinirate. Thank you sa inyong lahat. Dahil diyan, nagka Gold [Record] ang album."

Piolo said that they had a surprise for Anne that afternoon. He called on key executives of Viva Records to present a Platinum Record award to the actress-singer.

Anne immediately handed the bouquet to Piolo so she could carry the Platinum Record award.

After Anne's spiel, Sam wiped away perspiration from the face of his ex-girlfriend.

Anne then informed the audience and viewers: "Ito na ang pinaka-pasabog sa buong career ko...AnneBisyosa-No Other Concert World Tour! May concert po ako on January 28, 2012 sa Smart Araneta Coliseum!

"Alam mo this is a dream come true. Sa lahat ng singers na nangangarap talaga kahit wala naman kayong boses, go lang because dreams really do come true," she said with a smile.

Sam then told his ex-girlfriend, "You're a certified Platinum artist na and ako, and your ASAP family, is very, very proud of you."


According to Mario Dumaual's report for TV Patrol last night, December 12, Anne will have Vice Ganda and Sarah Geronimo as guests in her concert.
