In a concert aptly titled Once In A Lifetime, the Megastar will be "sharing stage, splitting it down the middle" with none other than Martin Nievera at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 11, 2012.

The two have been friends for more than three decades, and were once under contract with Vicor Records—where they began their careers over 30 years ago.

Sharon related, "Martin has been a friend for a long, long time. He is the ninong of my daughter Miel.

"I just do not know why we never had a show together or why we never recorded a duet.

"We seem to like the same songs and we even recorded them solo like 'Ikaw,' which I did first and which he later recorded.

"There is also 'The Promise.' We have our own versions. Now we will do the duet at the concert."

They had guest appearances in each other's shows, but never had a "back-to-back concert."

The Megastar added, "Hindi ko alam kung bakit ngayon lang kami...Si Martin, since bata pa kami, feeling ko sobrang match yung mga boses namin. Magkasundo."

Now both making up for that lost time, Sharon and Martin have recorded a duet "Once In A Lifetime," which will be among the highlights of the show.

It was composed and produced for the occasion by Vehnee Saturno, with lyrics written by Martin himself.

The song also marks Sharon's return to Viva as a recording artist.

Also included in their repertoire are their hits "To Love Again," "Say That You Love Me," "Now That You're Gone" as well as the songs that their fans have been longing to hear them sing together, like "The Last Time I Felt Like This," "Ikaw," and "The Promise."

The Cebu version is slated for February 14, at the Waterfront Hotel.
