Are you an aspiring writer who wants to break into TV, film or  theater? MINT College and professional screenwriter/playwright Dang Bagas have teamed up for two exciting summer programs under the Theater Arts department: Scriptwriting for Film & TV Workshop and Playwriting Workshop. Classes will take place at Mint College, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.


Enrolled students will be introduced to the principles of dramatic writing including character, plot, dramatic structure, dialogue, exposition, setting and creating theatrical images, through a series of lectures, discussions, creative exercises, stage readings and viewings.

Individuals looking to hone their craft and improve their writing skills are encouraged to participate in these workshops.  Writing students will be guided towards developing their own creative work using the tools and skills acquired from the workshop, with a culminating writing activity for a 10-minute short film script or presentation of a TV series concept.

Scriptwriting for Film and TV Workshop and Playwriting starts May 9 until May 19. Course fee for each class is P7,000.

Dang Bagas is a writer for film, TV and theater. She is also an accomplished filmmaker and educator.  With almost 16 years experience in writing for television, she has received recognition for shows such as Hiraya Manawari, Sineskwela, Kasaysayan TV, It Might Be You, Reputasyon and Lobo.  She has recently been awarded the PBBY-Salanga Writer's Prize for her children's story The Little Girl in the Box.  She is presently an active senior member of Kuting (Kuwentista ng mga Tsikiting) and The Writer's Bloc, Inc.
