Hundreds of overseas Filipino workers were touched by the timely story of the first “OFW-serye” of ABS-CBN titled Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo, which was shown in special screenings held in various parts of the Middle East including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Doha, Qatar.

Lead stars Jake Cuenca, Bangs Garcia, and Shaina Magdayao, together with the series’ co-director, Lino Cayetano, personally joined Filipinos in the Middle East who witnessed the first few episodes Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.

The cast expressed their gratitude to the OFWs who served as the main inspiration of their drama series. “We made this especially for you, so we hope that you will like it,” said Jake to the OFWs who went to the special screening hosted by The Filipino Channel (TFC). “We want to show, especially to the viewers in the Philippines, the real story of hardship and sacrifices of people working abroad.”

After the screening, a mix of emotions from the audience members filled the venues; most of them cried and missed their loved ones because of the realistic portrayal of the life of OFWs in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the plot thickens in Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo as Paul (Jake) and Sarah (Shaina) start their married life. Now that they have decided to live with Paul’s family, the strength of love will be put to test with the meddling of Remedios (Gloria Diaz) in their relationship.   Unlike other wives who remain meek despite the harshness of their mothers-in-law, Sarah knew how to protect herself. With her wife and her mother’s clash, whose side will Paul be on?

Together with Jake, Bangs, and Shaina in Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo are Gloria Diaz, Sandy Andolong, Maria Isabel Lopez, Ronnie Lazaro, Dick Ysrael, Nikki Valdez, Jojit Lorenzo, Ron Morales, and David Chua. It is directed by Manny Palo and Lino Cayetano.

Dubbed as the first "OFW-serye," Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo, after Mundo Man ay Magunaw in ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold.

Cheapangga to the highest level! Ngitzpa. Ganon siguro pag rabbit teeth??? Help me understand what is wrong in the picture?

...and i pity leading ladies. imagine, shaina's future kids will see this photo. even if she's an artist there is still some indecency lalo ang pagkakakuha ay hindi maganda. pilit na pilit nga ang sara ng labi nya dito to fake the scene. i can just imagine if i see my mum on the internet. eewwww!

i agree with you davaowenia_ia. am not a fan of any famous male showbiz personalities but you have a valid observation as mine. hindi sya magaling umarte at pang kontrabida lang ang role nya. even the looks and how he would handle a delicate scene with his leading lady like shaina. bakit ginawang bida? palakasan ba sa ABS? Sino ang manager nito? i'm sure may story conference and meetings yan in choosing the right leading man and woman. hindi ba nila na-brainstorm kung ano ang dating ni jake and shaina sa screen? no sparks at all! sorry

INSOLENCE. Lagi na lang bang minamaliit ng ABS CBN ang mga OFWs?. This so called OFW serye of ABS CBN has again portrays HOW UNFAITHFUL and WEAK the FILIPINOS are OVERSEAS. Ganyan na lang lagi ang tingin ng ABS sa mga overseas filipino workers, they are ALWAYS been potrayed in the ABS CBN teleseryes as SECOND CLASS citizen! Shame shame shame on ABS CBN. I

Mukhang maganda ang story ng teleserye its time for them to do a teleserye in tribute for the OFW, pero sana hindi c Jake yung bidang lalaki i don't find him a good in acting, madaming magagaling na actors sa ABS like Jericho Rosales and many more..

eto yung kissing scene na nakaka diri. hindi nakakakilig. parang ra pist itong si jake. sorry hindi kayo bagayni shaina onscreen. no chemistry at all. at paano naging bida itong si jake? walang kilig factor unlike coco or john lloyd. is this teleserye rating? pag hindi alisin na sa ere. change it to something like walang hanngan na ok ang leading man. si jake parang laging may singaw ang labi, namamaga at mukhang bad breath. gee, ABS pumili naman kayo na ok na leading man.
