GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) is currently working on its newest station ID (SID) to premiere soon on GMA-7.

During the shoot, film cinematographer and GMA vice president for Post Production Edward Achacoso said that the Network invested multi-millions to acquire state-of-the-art production and editing tools for the project.

“We had major add-ons in this year’s budget for the procurement of best-of-class high definition cameras and graphics machines. These tools are of the same standards as those used in Hollywood movies such as Transformers and Avengers,” he said.

Achacoso also said that this year’s SID has the biggest production pool, composed of 180 personnel. “We hope to top the current GMA SID in terms of production and editing values.”

Achacoso’s team is the same team behind the New York Festivals award-winning Lupang Hinirang ID, which also airs in cinemas nationwide.

The SID featuring the Kapuso theme song that first aired in 2002, will have an updated version to air on GMA-7.
