MOVING ON WITHOUT GERALD. 

“Noong time na yun, ako lang dito sa Manila, na parang wala na akong kaibigan kundi siya lang,” said Kim about her first love, Gerald.

“Parang umiikot lang doon ang mundo ko…hindi naman nagtatapos ang mundo ko…”

But she said that she doesn’t regret anything.  “Wala…enough yung naibigay ko. Wala akong regrets sa nangyari before because I’ve learned a lot.”


NEW LOVE TEAM PARTNER.

When Kim was separated from Gerald onscreen, the Kapamilya actress was paired with 3 leading men: Xian Lim, Matteo Guidicelli, and Jolo Revilla. Kim felt relieved that fans continued to support her in the primetime series, My Binondo Girl. 

“Hindi ako yung nagde-decide for myself kung ano ang ikagaganda ng career ko. Yung My Binondo Girl, sobra akong thankful at tinanggap pa rin ako ng mga tao kahit hindi si Gerald ang kasama ko.”

Budding actor Xian Lim became Kim’s main love interest in My Binondo Girl, which gave birth to another love team called “KimXi.”

Carmina asked Kim: Is Xian courting her? Do they go out together? The primetime princess replied, “Ay nakakahiya…we go out. Marami naman kami. Kumakain kami sa labas.”

Are you ready to fall in love?

“Two years ago na nangyari yon...And I think I am ready.”

ON PURCHASING HER OWN HOUSE.
 

The Star Magic star considers her own house as one of her greatest achievements.

She remarked, “We never had in our entire whole life na mayroon kaming bahay. Pangarap naming magkakapatid na mayroon kaming tag-isa-isang kwarto, may TV, may CR. Yung isa-isa, binuo ko siya.”

Kim became teary-eyed when the discussion centered on her family.

It was her personal decision to work and provide for her family rather than just enjoy having a carefree teenage life.  “Choice ko yon. Ginusto ko na kunin yung responsibility.”

She added, “Masarap yung pakiramdam na dati, iba yung buhay namin. Pero ngayon, ako yung nagbigay ng way para magkaroon ng magandang buhay. Yung mga kapatid ko, maramdaman yung… Ako kasi dati, naiinggit ako sa mga kaklase ko na may kaya, buo yung pamilya…Ayokong maramdaman ng mga kapatid ko na forever na kami wala. Naghanap ako ng way.”

Kim is currently being seen in the suspense thriller, The Healing, which is topbilled by Batangas Governor Vilma Santos. Kim is thrilled to be given the chance to work with the Star for All Seasons.

Kim recounted that during her first episode with Ate Vi, she couldn’t utter her lines due to nervousness.  “Sa unang eksena namin, wala akong masabi, ang tagal lumabas ng linya sa bibig ko. Ninerbyos ako. Parang ang lamig-lamig ng hands ko.

“Marami akong natutunan. Kahit gaano ka kalaking artista, huwag mong ilalagay sa ulo mo kung gaano ka kasikat. Masyado siya [Ate Vi] approachable, reachable, sobrang down-to-earth…”

Who is Kim Chiu now?

“She is stronger and mayroon na siyang sariling decision. Alam na niya kung ano ang ginagawa niya.”

Who is Kim Chiu in the future?

She simply replied, “Parang ayokong mag-isip kung ano ang magiging ako. Mas importante sa akin kung ano ang mayroon ngayon.”
