Now on its 45th year of selecting worthy Filipinas to represent the country in beauty pageants abroad, Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc (BPCI) and GMA-7 proudly present the Binibining Pilipinas 2008 Coronation Night this Saturday, March 8, at 9:30 p.m.
The annual pageant is the brainchild of BPCI with the special purpose of spreading across the nation and the world the message of peace and love. The beauty search is also a fund-raising event that would benefit orphans and the marginalized sectors of society.
This year, the organizers showcase the rich, indigenous culture and traditions of the Philippines. The pageant will reflect the beauty behind the homegrown ethnicity and customs of Filipinos.
Twenty-four gorgeous and talented candidates from all over the Philippines will vie for the most coveted titles at stake in the pageant. Only three lucky candidates will take home the crown of Bb. Pilipinas-International, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Bb. Pilipinas-World and will get a once in a lifetime privilege of representing the country to the world's most prestigious beauty pageants. Special prizes and recognitions will also be awarded to lucky candidates.

9-Kathleen Phyllis Guerrero; 10-Arvin Gail Ariola; 11-Gianni Michelle Laudato; 12-Jaysel Arrozal; 13-Tabetha Jo Frick; 14-Karen Golar; 15-Janina San Miguel; 16-Margarita Gutierrez;
17-Lady Lou Garidan; 18-Elizabeth Jacqueline Nacuspag; 19-Patricia Fry Francisco; 20-Roxanne Tadique; 21-Karla Kristina Garcia; 22-Ma. Anne Labung; 23-Agatha Fontanilla; and 24-Rizza Liza Catigan.
To entertain the crowd and the finalists, the new vocal group "Angelos" will serenade them with their riveting and captivating voices. The quartet is composed of Floyd Tena, Jon Joven, James Uy and George Tagle.
The Kapuso network's hunk stars Alfred Vargas, Marco Alcaraz, and Paolo Paraiso will perform a production number along with the reigning Binibining Pilipinas queens.
The beauty pageant will be hosted by Paolo Bediones and 1994 Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Charlene Gonzales.
In 2007, the Philippines was represented by Bb. Pilipinas International Nadia Lee Shami, Bb. Pilipinas Universe Anna Theresa Licaros, and Bb. Pilipinas World Maggie Wilson.
