Kim Atienza’s TV show "Matanglawin" premieres March 24

Kuya Kim Atienza is on the lookout for interesting trivia and adventure topics in his new ABS-CBN show, Matanglawin. It airs after Bandila every Monday starting March 24, 2008.
Get ready for a one-of-a-kind adventure in the world of knowledge with Kuya Kim Atienza in ABS-CBN's newest informative show Matanglawin, beginning March 24 (Monday).
Join the country's trivia king as he goes around the Philippines in search of new, interesting adventures to demystify legends, unveil nature's mysteries, and at the same time, showcase our vast cultural and natural resources.
"Matanglawin covers almost all topics and is about knowledge in general-science and technology as well as general useful trivia," explains executive producer Margie Natividad. "It's like the power of Ka Ernie but more dynamic and action-packed." (Popular radio host and TV weatherman Ernie Baron, known as "the walking encyclopedia," passed away in 2006.)
Get to meet amazing people as Kuya Kim immerses himself in communities and talks with community-based resource persons who have expertise in their various fields.
Kuya Kim will explore the outdoors with the eye view of a Philippine hawk—inquisitive, bold, and vigilant.
"Tumalon ako dito sa gilid ng bundok, nagbisikleta ako, nag-dive ako, at naghanap ng susong nakamamatay sa ilalim ng dagat, humarap sa cobra," narrates Kim. "Talagang exciting at adventurous bawat episode ng Matanglawin.
On its pilot episode, learn about the deadliest animals found in the Philippines. All these and more will be uncovered in the pilot telecast of Matanglawin, which airs on March 24 after Bandila on ABS-CBN.
