Dear Friend's initial summer offering "Karibal" did very well in the ratings game for three consecutive weeks.
For the pilot episode of the Sunday afternoon show, it posted a rating of 13.8% among Mega Manila households based on data from AGB Nielsen Philippines. It was then ranked as the No. 3 show during the daytime period. On its second and third week, it maintained its position with 13.9% and 12.3%, respectively.
Shot at the pristine white sand island cove of Dakak Park Beach Resort in Zamboanga, "Karibal" is topbilled by Kapuso stars Katrina Halili, Alfred Vargas, Jewel Mische, and JC Tiuseco. It features a story of sibling rivalry twisted by forces of jealousy and reprisal.
For its final episode, witness the shocking revelations and turn of events in the lives of Kim (Katrina) and Cindy (Jewel). How will this affect their relationship now that Kim's life is in peril? Who will Ron (Alfred) choose? Will betrayal triumph over genuine love?
To build up excitement on its second summer installment, Dear Friend will visit the City of Pines—Baguio City. Catch Glaiza de Castro, Patrick Garcia, and Polo Ravales as they take you to the tropical paradise of the Cordillera Region and marvel at its diverse cultural and historical attractions.
Don't miss the finale of "Karibal" on GMA-7's Dear Friend this Sunday afternoon right after S.O.P.
