Last April 1, Gagambino star Dennis Trillo underwent knee surgery for an injury sustained while training for the GMA-7 fantaserye.  Dennis had the operation in St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City.  The actor narrated how the operation for his acute cruciate ligament (ACL) injury took place:

Two titanium screws were attached to his knee in order to correct the torn ligaments.  The actor put on a brave face as he talked to the Startalk crew.

The actor also reported that he felt stabs of pain on the first night the anesthesia wore off.  On doctor's advice, Dennis will rest completely while undergoing physical therapy in order to regain muscular strength and walk normally again.

It will take him three weeks before complete recovery. The actor takes good care of his knees and uses a crutch in walking.  Even though he  still limps, he believes his recuperation is moving along fast.

PROJECT WITH JENNICA. As soon as he restores his strength, a number of projects are lined up for him.  One of these is a TV series with Jennica Garcia.

"Siya na po talaga.  May bago pong original story ang GMA, yun yung susunod kong gagawin."

Dennis will also star in the Cinemalaya entry Astig, an indie film produced by Boy Abunda, Boy So, and Noel Ferrer. On Black Saturday, he will be starring in a Lenten special with Marian Rivera.
