Viewers continue to enjoy the comic delight brought by Banana Split every Saturday night with segments such as "NNNN" and "Brod Bro Bru" as the whole gang takes it to the next level in its fourth season run on ABS-CBN.

Angelica Panganiban's and Jayson Gainza's impersonations of Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda in the "SNN" parody "NNNN" gets even better, while Zanjoe Marudo, John Prats, and Jayson Gainza's different takes on a particular word in "Brod, Bro, Bru Level Up" becomes more unpredictable as the former Parekoy cast members engage in hilarious word plays on the spot.

"It's a welcome change and people are surprised that I can be funny. One time, my friends insisted that I impersonate Kris while making an order at a restaurant, they were all so amused including the waiter," said Angelica. "We wouldn't be successful without the support of Tito Boy and Kris."

Originally conceptualized as the all-female version of the '80s hit show Goin' Bananas, Banana Split became a surprise hit in the third season when it transformed into a barkada gag show. Aside from Angelica, Zanjoe, Jason, and John, the other celebrities that make your weekend viewing of Banana Split enjoyable are RR Enriquez, Princess Ryan, Pooh, and Pokwang.

"There has been very positive feedback about the new Banana Split," said ABS-CBN production manager Cynthia Jordan. "We can still be very playful but not as ‘naughty' as before."

No doubt, Banana Split has brought out the comic side of Angela and Jayson. Pokwang's and RR's impersonations of Annabelle Rama and Ruffa Gutierrez were also cheered. Direk Bobot Mortiz is delighted over the success of the "NNNN" segment, which revealed the comic sides of Angelica and Jason. "He said, "We really wanted to spoof 'SNN' and it turned out pretty good. They are proving to be good actors who can do comedy."

Angelica isn't sure if she will be doing more comedy roles than drama now that she has proven her skills in making people laugh. One thing for sure, her stint in Banana Split paid off as it has shown her versatility as an actress. Similarly, it will open new doors for Jayson who has honed his craft through his humble beginnings as a housemate in the first edition of Pinoy Big Brother and one of the lead characters in Parekoy.

As the show enters its fourth season, expect more laughter from the cast of Banana Split every Saturday after XXX on ABS-CBN.
