SIS wins Best Talk Show in 31st Catholic Mass Media Awards

SIS hosts Gelli de Belen (wearing yellow belt) and Carmina Villaroel personally accepted the award for Best Talk Show during the 31st Catholic Mass Media Awards.

GMA Network's SIS was recently named the 2009 Best Talk Show in the 31st Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA). The awarding was held at the San Carlos Seminary Auditorium in Makati City last October 14.

SIS's endearing hosts Gelli de Belen and Carmina Villaroel personally accepted the award. This recognition from CMMA helped strengthen the position of SIS as the country's leading morning talk show.

For eight years, it has consistently enjoyed a stronghold on viewer's trust toppling eight ABS-CBN shows pitted against it. In addition, the show continues to lead in TV ratings in Mega Manila based on AGB Nielsen data.

Together with the trio of Janice de Belen, Gelli and Carmina, SIS promises to give viewers a variety of inspiring and entertaining segments, surprises and happenings in every episode.

SIS airs Monday to Friday, 10:25 am on GMA-7.

Ilang buwan pa lang umeere ang Showtime pero consistent na tinatalo ng talent/variety show hosted by Vhong Navarro and Anne Curtis ang katapat na show kaya naisipan ng GMA-7 management na palitan na nang tuluyan ang SiS with a similar show para magkaalaman kung sino ang magaling.

In our opinion, di dapat ikahiya ng SiS ang pagkatanggal nito sa ere. Marami na silang pinatunayan. Marami na silang pinatiklop na show before. And kailangan na ring may bagong programa para hindi na boring, kasi marami kaming naririnig na pabalik-balik na ang topics on SiS kaya di na nagkaka-interest ang mga manonood. The show’s time to end has come, and we wish Janice, Gelli and Carmina a good luck for their next projects!

Let the battle of talent/variety shows begin on this timeslot! Yahooooo! Masaya na naman ito!

After dominating weekday mornings for more than a decade on GMA-7, SiS hosted by Gelli de Belen, Janice de Belen and Carmina Villaroel is folding up and leaving its timeslot. Nag-last taping day na ang show yesterday December 17, at pinaghahandaan na ng Kapuso network ang ipapalit nito sa morning timeslot na iiwanan ng SiS.

The show will be replaced by a talent /variety show titled “Todo Bigay” that will be hosted by Bayani Agbayani, Manny Pacquiao, Mommy Dionesia and possibly Eugene Domingo kung matuloy ang plano ng Siyete. Nakailang programa na rin ang tinapat ng ABS-CBN sa SiS before – nariyan ang Morning Girls, Ruffa and Ai, Boy and Kris at marami pang iba, pero pinataob silang lahat ng SiS. Hanggang tinapatan ng Dos with Showtime ang talk show ng Kapuso network. Ilang buwan pa lang umeere ang Showtime pero consistent na tinatalo ng talent/v
