As anticipation builds for the opening of GMA-7's reality-based artista search, StarStruck V marks its return on television via a kick-off special dubbed The Strikeback.

StarStruck V: The Strikeback, a one-hour primer hosted by Dingdong Dantes, recounts the changed lives of its alumni during the program's four-year run. The show looks back on the journey of each survivor and his/her roller-coaster ride to becoming one of the network's bankable stars.

The primer sums up the graduates' brush with stardom, how they handled the intense and emotional run on the show, and the life-changing transformations and rewards that came after. Also documented are their StarStruck roots and the realities each had to go through in pursuing a showbiz career.

Among those who will share their experiences are industry stalwarts who have been part of the program in the last four years. These personalities have made remarkable contributions not only to the show's success but also to the graduates' biggest break in the industry.

Making the primer extra special is an exclusive sneak peak at StarStruck V's full package of twists, revelations and surprises. Viewers can look forward to FACTOR V, the big surprise twist that will either make or break the chance of each aspirant in claiming their right to stay in the talent search, or otherwise go home. 

This season is said to be the biggest yet as StarStruck scours promising Filipino aspirants worldwide.
