ABS-CBN's talent-reality show Pilipinas Got Talent formally named the first two semi-finalists who will be part of the top 12 and will compete in the much-awaited grand finals. These are 16-year-old Batangueno singer Jovit Baldivino and ventriloquist from Las Pinas Ruther Urquia.
In an intense live eliminations held Sunday night at the Dolphy Theater, the YouTube sensation and so-called younger version of Arnel Pineda, got the highest percentage of text and online votes with 80%, which guaranteed him a sure slot in the finals.
Judges Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas, and Freddie M. Garcia a.k.a. FMG then deliberated who between Ruther and Rolando Permangil of Davao City (who garnered the second and third highest votes respectively) will make it through the next and final round. In the end, they decided to put through the 31 year old puppeteer and his puppet Titoy.
