The musical dramedy iDOL starring (from left) Sam Milby, Sarah Geronimo and Coco Martin will air its pilot episode tonight, September 6, on ABS-CBN.
iDOL is ABS-CBN's upcoming musical dramedy that aims to promote our very own music since songs injected in the stories are all Original Pinoy Music. Viewers will be able to watch this new TV series starting tonight, September 6.
A series filled with hopes and dreams, iDOL revolves around the story of a girl named Billie played by Sarah Geronimo who will reach the peak of stardom as a famous singer. However, because of a huge family debt, she will be forced to set aside her fame while hiding her true identity and living a simple life as Jean. She will also be torn between two handsome hotties, Sam Milby as Vince and Martin as Lando, who will eventually fall in love with her.
After years of solely focusing on her singing career, Pop princess Sarah Geronimo ventures once again to acting with two of the sought after leading man, Acoustic heartthrob, Sam Milby and Prince of Indie films, Coco Martin. The chemistry between the pairs has yet to be tested on screen but Sam himself is excited by their fresh tandem. "I'm happy that people say we have chemistry kasi kung hindi kinikilig ang mga viewers, hindi uubra yung project. Ako, actually kinikilig rin ako."
Sam has been very vocal in saying that he is very fond of his leading lady, Sarah. "I really admire her, how dedicated she is to her craft, how supportive she is of her family, how grounded she is. That's what I really admire about her: how pure-hearted she is. I think any guy would agree that she is girlfriend material," said the actor during the press con for the Cosmo celebrity centerfolds held recently. Sam is on the cover of the Cosmo Men supplement included in the September 2010 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. (CLICK HERE to read related article)
