GMA Network's banner newscast 24 Oras remains as primetime's leading news source. This is according to the November 8 and 9 Mega Manila overnight TV ratings data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
According to the data provided by GMA Network, on November 8, 24 Oras posted an overnight people ratings of 11.6 rating points, against 10.7% of ABS-CBN's TV Patrol; this despite ABS-CBN newscast's changes in its roster of news readers.
TV5's Willing Willie, on the other hand, managed 10.3 rating points during the timeslot it aired alongside newscasts 24 Oras and TV Patrol. The more than three-hour show averaged 11.6, the same rating points of 24 Oras, which is bannered by broadcast journalists Mike Enriquez and Mel Tiangco.
24 Oras further widened its lead on Tuesday, November 9, with an 11.9 rating points performance as against TV Patrol's 9.5 and Willing Willie's 10.2 (during the same time slot alongside 24 Oras and TV Patrol). Willie Revillame's show total average is 11.3.
As stated by the GMA-7 report, Kapuso's primetime newscast remains committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and journalism, delivering news that is "walang kinikilingan, walang kasinungalingan, walang pinoprotektahan, at walang bahid pulitika. Serbisyong Totoo lamang."
