Maricar Reyes plays Juana Tejada, a cancer patient who helped change legislation affecting caregivers applying for permanent residency in Canada.

Be inspired to win life's challenges this Saturday (December 10) as Maalaala Mo Kaya shares the story of a woman named Juana who not only fought for her family's dream but also defended the rights of her fellow hardworking caregivers in Canada.

Discover how the 'hero' behind the existing "Juana Tejada Law" in Canada managed to stand up for her countrymen as she battled with colon cancer.

Through her advocacy, Juana was able to help change legislation affecting caregivers applying for permanent residency in Canada.

Maricar will share the small screen with Dimples Romana, Tom Rodriguez, and Patrick Guzman. This week's episode directed by Dado Lumibao and written by Arah Jell Badayos.

Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) airs every Saturday night after Junior Master Chef Pinoy Edition on ABS-CBN.
