Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis will have the chance to work with Robin Padilla in ABS-CBN's upcoming teleserye titled Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw. In this program, Kris and Anne portray sisters while Robin is cast as the man who will come between them. Child star Xyriel Manabat is also part of this family-oriented show.

Kris explains the significance of their characters.


"Anne and I will represent lahat ng emotions na nararamdaman ng kababaihan when it comes to being in love. Excited ako also kasi we get to see the dynamics kung anong relationship ng magkapatid. In every family, we all have different characters so makikita n'yo how two women will relate to each other. Yung isa responsible, de numero, yun yung character ko."


Anne describes her character by saying, "rebellious, free-spirited..."


Kris explained that during the story conference, they tackled the question: "Sino ba ang mas may karapatan sa pagmamahal? Who will call the shots when it comes to love? The person who gave the love or the person who received the love?"


"We're really excited kasi alam mo na-touch ako, he kept saying thank you sa amin. Sabi ko, 'we're so important, tayo ang tine-thank you ni Robin Padilla. Nagawan nila ng paraan na may elements of action but at its core, it's a family drama and a love story. 

"Lahat ng age brackets makaka-relate."


Will Kris be doing a love scene in this teleserye?

"Tatlo ang anak namin so paano naman ako magkaka-anak kung walang love scene?"


How far do you plan to go?

"This is TV so yung far na far, hintayin na lang natin kasi may movie ako for that."


When will they start working on the teleserye?

 
"We're working on February 21. It helps that Anne and I are so close but we were able to fix our schedule right away kasi nag-usap kaming dalawa na Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Kasi pareho naming wish na ang Sundays talaga family day so gusto niya makauwi sa dad niya and ako gusto ko talaga for my kids yun."


Anne will continue to be part of the noontime show It's Showtime while Kris will still have her morning show, Kris TV.


Kris revealed, "Lahat kami nag-sacrifice na 7 am, roll na. Nakakaloka na 5:30 ang call time para makaalis siya ng 10:30 am. Three or four sequences kami sa umaga."


Anne added, "Then I'll return right after Showtime."


Kris pointed out, "It helps na magkasundong-magkasundo kami kasi kung ibang tao yan at 5:30 am ang calltime...pero dahil love ko si Anne at gusto ko matuloy ito, sige go!"


Anne explained, "Nakaka-excite rin to work with Ms. Kris Aquino and to work with Robin Padilla. I feel so blessed and humbled to be given this opportunity. Kahit gaano kaaga, kahit gaano ka-late, kakaririn ko."

Kris then explained their working hours, "We also made an agreement na this is the one time na hindi kami nagka-cutoff only because may apat na oras na kakainin ang Showtime sa kanya. I'm supposed to shoot a movie come April but sa buong March, as much as possible, walang cutoff para madami kaming matapos. Plus si anne, may world tour [for Annebisyosa concert]."
